A portrait of Ube Palomino obscured slightly by a light

Ube Palomino is the pen name for musical composer Jacob Kyle Cleveland. A graduate of Indiana University in 2015 with a degree in Art & Sound Design, he focused on closely studying sounds, learning music, and bridging concepts in art and music. He creates 21st century compositions that feel different, yet sound familiar. Since that time of research and discovery in school, Ube has scored award winning short-films, wrote music for podcasts, ran a recording studio, recorded an original waltz with a world-class string quartet in Argentina, all paths lead back to creating music. Ube is currently studying Jazz Piano at the Seattle Jazz Academy and teaching music in Bellevue, Washington. Ube believes the world needs artists and cross-pollinators who create music that can transcend boundaries, genres, and expectations. With every note, Ube breathes life into rediscovery, sculpting unconventional modern symphonies that touch the very essence of the human spirit. Ube strives to craft musical stories drawing from experiences in nature, fantasy, and simply being human. Whether it's the haunting melancholy of a solo piano, the ethereal whispers of an orchestral film score, or the electrifying pulse of cutting-edge electronic ambience, you will never hear anything quite like the pink and purple horse.
